Scale-Up: The HPC & AI Tutorial Series
From basic access to scalable AI – master the chip HPC in Spring 2026
All sessions in ENGR 102 and online via WebEx
1 – 2 PM ET for the main session and 2:00 – 2:30 PM for Office Hours
The Center for Scalable Data and Computational Science (ScaleS), in collaboration with UMBC DoIT Research Computing & Data Team, is happy to announce a five-part tutorial series designed for new and experienced researchers who are looking to explore the use of high-performance clusters in their research workflows.
Each tutorial is delivered in a “flipped-classroom” style where tutorial content is made available via Blackboard ahead of the classroom session. The classroom session is then dedicated to a brief review, Q&A, and then a hands-on activity that demonstrates mastery of the tutorial content.
In order to register for each tutorial, you must RSVP via the myUMBC HPCF event postings below associated with that tutorial. Please be sure to follow the myUMBC HPCF Group for additional information and future training series. Be sure to bring your laptops!
